The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) actually has a governor’s regulation governing green buildings. This regulation is contained in the Governor of DKI Jakarta Special Province Regulation No. 38 of 2012. However, in its implementation, the regulation does not run perfectly so there needs to be a new concept of green building.
Oswar said, the process of redesigning this grand design, involved a number of parties including developers and the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI). After being properly conceptualized, especially in terms of ownership, the Jakarta Provincial Government issued a road map and produced a pilot project in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta. According to Oswar, even though it is a rental apartment (rusunawa) and intended for the lower middle class community, this project will later have complete facilities. With an area of 36 square meters, this flat unit already has two rooms and a bathroom equipped with a shower.
As previously reported, the Rusunawa was inaugurated by DKI Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama a few days ago. This flat is located on a land area of 17.6 hectares. Oswar said, this development is the developer’s obligation, Sampoerna Land and PT Mulia Karya Gemilang. This year, PT Sampoerna Land will build three towers with 20 floors and 840 flat towers. Meanwhile, PT Mulia Karya Gemilang will build two towers with 16 floors and 540 flat units accompanied by integrated child-friendly public spaces (RPTRA)
The rest will be built by the DKI Jakarta Housing and Regional Government Building with regional budget financing.
